Our stated project for 2011 is to build a new
sanctuary for the congregation at Fond d
’ Acaque. The original church building was
damaged by hurricanes Georges in 1998. As usual we
have several additional items on the agenda. In order
to accomplish our overall goal of bringing the Love of
Jesus Christ to the rural Haiti, the team will have the
following additional goals:
1. Most of the workers will be from Fond d' Acaque.
2. We will endeavor to prepare a hot lunch at the work
site for the workers and their families every day,
utilizing local ladies to help cook.
3. We will have the mobile medical team at Fond d'
Acaque as many days as possible.
4. We will place a major emphasis on worship and
devotions at the site.
5. We will purchase and transport a treadle sewing
machine, fabric and thread to the site and conduct
sewing classes.
6. We want to raise $35,000 in project funds so we can
finish the footers, walls, roof, and floor by the end of
the fourth week.
